Nusa Lembongan (Yellow Bridge) Ferry Port

Nusa Lembongan is located to the southeast of the popular holiday destination of Bali, belonging to Indonesia, forming part of the Lesser Sunda Islands. There are many daily sailings departing the port, supplied by Bali Fast Boat and Scoot Fast Ferries, heading to other nearby coastal resorts.

What is there to do in Nusa Lembongan?

As the hotel and extravagant restaurants grow, so does Nusa Lembongan’s popularity. Whilst some have accused the island of forgetting its heritage, there is still a laid back feel that embodies the atmosphere and culture. The main pastimes are found in the great outdoors; scuba diving and snorkelling are a rite of passage when visiting, and the naturally beautiful Mangrove Forest offers tranquillity whilst basking in stunning surroundings. For those who like to spend their time having a bit more of an adventure, the beaches offer water-skiing, jet-skiing, kayaking and canoeing under the guidance of qualified instructors. Conversely, more serene activities are readily available; Yoga and Pilates classes are often held early on under the morning sun, and boat tours provide breathtaking views of the idyllic scenery. After a day exploring the array of activities, there are some affordable restaurants that serve delicious seafood fresh from the water.

How do visitors get around Nusa Lembongan?

Picturesque views, pleasant weather and spacious paths make the island the perfect place to indulge in a leisurely stroll. Bicycles and motorbikes are also available for rental, so transport is usually fairly environmentally friendly.

Gili Trawangan Guide

Gili Trawangan Ferry Port

Gili Trawangan Port sits on the largest of three islands that form the Gili Islands, a small island group off the northwest coast of Indonesia. The island group relies massively on tourism, especially Gili Trawangan, which has developed its infrastructure solely to attract tourists by presenting them with the chance to relax in luxurious resorts. Most resorts around the port will provide accommodation in the form of small huts, typically with a pool and restaurants offering local dishes. The Gili Islands offer crossings around each of the islands, as well as ferry routes to Lombok Port on the west coast of Indonesia, providing the gateway into the heart of the country. However, the most popular crossing is to Bali, one of the most sought-after holiday destinations in the world. The sailing runs frequently throughout the day, usually lasting around four to five hours. Transport to the port is limited on Gili Trawangan island; there are no motorized vehicles operating on any of the islands, so most land journeys are traversed by foot, bicycle or a small horse drawn carriage known as a Cidomo.
