Paxi Ferry Port

Forming part of the Ionian Islands, Paxi is one of the smaller island groups belonging to Greece. The only ferry routes departing the port are to Brindisi and Otranto, and are supplied by Liberty Lines and Red Star Ferries.

What is there to do in Paxi?

Those longing for a relaxing holiday on a sleepy, tranquil island head to Paxi; the coast is lined with secluded beaches comprised of pristine white sands and the villages are home to colourful buildings and welcoming cafes. The gorgeous shorelines and cosy villages are knitted together by luscious greenery and vast mountainside, forming a landscape that boasts postcard picture looks. Whilst by the beach, many indulge in a few hours of snorkelling to explore the surrounding waters under the guidance of qualified instructors. It’s easy to get lost in the beauty of Paxi, yet there is more to the island than the stunning scenery. The Venetian fortress of Agios Nikolaos provides the cultural and historical value, offering an insight into the architectural history belonging to Paxi. For an extended day of sightseeing, the Paxi Museum is a popular choice with visitors, as are the churches and chapels dotted around the quiet streets.

How do visitors get around Paxi?

Being one of the smaller Greek islands, most choose to cover Paxi by foot. There are also taxis readily available, as well as rental car companies.
