As the administrative centre and main port of North Uist in Scotland, Lochmaddy provides frequent daily crossings to the Isle of Skye. The port is easily reachable from most villages in North Uist, as it sits just off the circular A865 road on the east coast. Free parking is available outside the terminal building, alongside a bus stop which provides frequent services to the surrounding villages.
