The island's port can be found in Ibiza Town which is also a popular tourist destination in its own right. There are many beautiful things to see and do in Ibiza Town including Renaissance walled buildings, the Curia's house, Santa Domingo's church, the landlord's house, the Castle, the Modern Art Museum of Ibiza and the Necropolis Punica del Puig des Molins. So rich is the town's history it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

As a result of its many nightclubs and bars, the island has gained a reputation for its summer club scene, with many people visiting the island just to experience its nightlife. In addition to Ibiza Town, large parts of the island have also been declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites which provides protection to these beautiful and important parts of the island from future development.
