The island of Alonissos can be found in the Northern Sporades region of Greece in the Aegean Sea. Ferries arrive and depart Alonissos from the port of Patitiri on the south east of the island. Connections include crossings to Agios Konstantinos and Volos on the mainland as well as the islands of Skiathos and Skopelos.
Found on the south east coast of Greece, Mantoudi is a tiny village with a population of just under 2000 people. For a real immersion into the lifestyle, travellers are invited to spend a night in the dorms situated inside the building. It is possible to cover the entirety of the village by foot in just a day, so getting around Mantoudi is not a problem.
