Forming one of the Northern Sporades group of islands, the Greek island of Alonnisos lies in the Aegean Sea. The other islands in the Northern Sporades are Skiathos and Skopelos. The island's main port is called Patitiri and is located on the south east coast. From the port, ferry and hydrofoil services depart to Volos, Agios Konstantinos and Thessaloniki on the mainland. Services also depart to the islands of Skiathos, Skopelos and Skyros.
