The Ikarian port of Agios Kirikos in the south eastern side of the island connects with numerous ports around Greece. As well as being the main port on Ikaria, Agios Kirikos is also the islands capital and is considered to be one of the most picturesque destinations in the Aegean region. As the island's capital, most of the amenities on the island can be found here, as well as most of the night life with numerous bars and clubs as well as hotel rooms.
Pythagorio is situated on the west coast of the Greek island of Samos, laying to the east of mainland and only a few kilometres away from the Turkish west coast. Many ferry routes depart the port, heading to coastal resorts around Greece and Turkey.
