With BC Ferries you can sail across the Strait of Georgia between the mainland and the Northern and Southern Gulf Islands as well as to Vancouver Island. Up in the north of British Columbia you can cross the Hecate Strait to the Haida Gwaii islands of Moresby Island and Graham Island. The S-Class twins ply the Vancouver - Victoria route and can carry up to 2100 people and 470 vehicles per trip while the Nimpkish carries less than 100 passengers, 16 vehicles and operates along the Discovery Passage.

The larger ferries in the fleet feature numerous amenities and top class catering while the smaller ferries are more basic, generally with self-service food stations.
