Travel documents

  • Do I need a passport?

If you are travelling within the country where your passport was issued, then any form of I.D. is valid. However, if you are travelling on an international service, or within a country where your passport was not issued, then you will need your passport in order to be able to travel by ferry.

  • What documentation am I required to carry when driving abroad?

When driving abroad, you are legally required to carry with you a valid drivers licence, your vehicle registration, and your vehicle insurance certificate. Some countries also have specific regulations and requirements that must be followed when driving there, so we advise that you check before you travel to be sure that you are complying.

  • Do I need a visa?

This very much depends on where you are from, and where it is that you are travelling to. Please check beforehand. If you do believe that you need a visa, then please contact your local embassy. Also please remember that getting a visa can take several weeks, so be sure to arrange for one well in advance of your travel date.
